canaries day 3

After a night of quite frisky weather and big rolling seas we started the day with a course change to let the wind drive us straight south to the Canaries.
What followed was our best day of sailing yet with our poled out headsail and downwind rig working well. Still using the tiller pilot for helm as I am just not confident enough of the Hydrovane yet.
I hate the thought of having a crash gube because it couldn't cope with a following sea.
Just saw the sunset as I started the first night watch with Alfie. Beautiful.
